What is the New Kia Proceed Concept?

Low, lean, and striking, the Kia Proceed is the latest vision drawn up by the engineers at Kia to bring you only the most modernized concepts behind the idea of future-mobility. Take a look below as we explore this hot hatchback and all it will have to offer drivers once unveiled on September 12th at the 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show.

Overview of the Kia Proceed Concept

Rear Quarter View of the Kia Proceed Concept Designed at Kia’s European design center in Frankfurt, the Kia Proceed presents a new body type for Kia that is impressively athletic with a dash of real-world versatility. This hot hatch has muscular proportions and a compact footprint that allows it to be agile and extremely aerodynamic. The silhouette of the car is complemented by a series of distinctive design cues like a dynamic window frame that flows with the roofline into the rear tailgate, a striking ‘Sharkblade’ that reinforces the body, and a bold GT logo that leaves a lasting memory. Lateral strakes exaggerate the Proceed Concept’s slim waistline and lend an air of muscularity to the rear of the car. It runs on six-spoke aluminum alloy wheels that measure in at 20 inches in diameter.

Another notable feature that is found on the Proceed concept is its unique lighting attributes. The Proceed concept features a ‘Luminline’ lighting system, which is an illuminated outline of the car’s glasshouse that greets drivers as they approach the car. This serves as a powerful nocturnal visual identifier for the Proceed Concept, highlighting its fastback shape. To compliment the lighting, the Proceed is finished in bespoke ‘Lava Red’ paintwork. This has been created by combining multiple hand-applied layers of black, chrome-effect silver, and red-tinted lacquer for a glossy, lustrous paint finish.
