Design of the Kia Ray Concept
The Kia Ray is taking being green to a whole new level. Its aerodynamic and stylish design is sure to turn heads as you drive down the street with touch-screen controls, drive-by-wire steering and solar panels to help charge your battery. The Kia Ray is the first Kia to include solar panels in its design. It is also made from lightweight and recycled materials which both contribute to its bold new look. The solar panels on the roof of the Kia Ray will power the extra lighting and climate control systems so you don’t waste any of your battery while keeping cool.
Kia Ray Performance
Speaking of battery, the lithium-ion polymer battery on the Kia Ray gives it a top speed of about 110 miles per hour while getting anywhere between 77.6 miles per gallon in Pure HEV Mode, to 202.3 miles per gallon when in Plug-in HEV Mode giving your vehicle an unheard of 746 mile range between charges.
While a release date hasn’t been announced yet, we know that Kia will use this time to fine-tune the Ray concept and add more of the amazing features that Kia has become known for over the past few years.
