How Often Should I Change the Oil in my 2017 Kia Forte?

While the Kia Forte has been significantly redesigned for 2017, one of the ways it has stayed the same is by continuing to provide its drivers with the reliability they expect from a Kia. One of the ways Forte owners can keep their compact going and going is by adhering to the proper oil change schedules recommended by Kia technicians. Keep reading to see how far you can go in your Forte before you need an oil change.

2017 Kia Forte Oil Change Intervals

You may be used to changing the oil in your vehicle every 3,000 miles or every three months, whichever comes first. While it doesn’t hurt the vehicle to change the oil so often, it’s completely unnecessary, especially in the new Kia Forte. Nowadays, Forte drivers can go up to 7,500 miles or 6 months without changing their oil thanks to major advancements in engine technology. However, Kia recommends Forte drivers who spend a lot of time in traffic or in extreme temperatures are recommended to change their oil every 3,750 miles or every six months, whichever comes first.
