What is the difference between hybrid and plug-in hybrid Kia vehicles?

Both hybrids and plug-in hybrids feature a gas engine with an electric battery to store additional charge. Both can use regenerative braking to improve fuel economy. The main difference is that plug-in hybrids can be plugged in for additional electric power.

Are hybrid vehicles more fuel-efficient than conventional vehicles?

Yes, hybrid vehicles are more fuel-efficient than gas-powered or conventional vehicles because they can use regenerative braking. Regenerative braking is taking the energy wasted when braking and using it to recharge the vehicle’s battery. That extra charge translates into fuel savings for you.

Are hybrid vehicles more expensive to buy than conventional vehicles?

Hybrid vehicles tend to cost a little more up front. However, they can save you money on fuel over many years, which could mean that you end up saving money by investing in a hybrid. Be on the lookout for tax incentives to save money on alternative fuel vehicles.

Can hybrid vehicles tow trailers or carry heavy loads?

Each vehicle comes with its own towing and hauling limitations, but in general, yes, hybrid vehicles can be used to tow and haul. Hybrid SUVs are a better choice than sedans for towing and hauling.
