This Christmas holiday, let’s go back to some classics and regale in the golden days of Literature. The first book in our recommendation is A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Available on Amazon and all leading bookstores, this novella continues to keep the Christmas spirit alive by encouraging us to let go of the Scrooge in us and embrace the goodness. Although this book did not do well for Dickens, it sure has us hooked to it.

The second book on our list is How the Grinch stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss. This book is a big favorite among children and follows the story of the Grinch, who tries to end Christmas by stealing Christmas presents and decorations from his town on Christmas eve. The Grinch ultimately realizes that Christmas is not about gifts alone and recognizes the value of love and belonging. The movie under the same title stars Jim Carrey as the Grinch and is quite the head-turner on its own.

Our third recommendation would be The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry. Published in 1905, this classic story is highly recommended for those who believe in the magic of love, especially around Christmas. The story tells us of the love between the couple Jim and Della, who sell their favorite assets so that they can buy the other a Christmas gift. This story redefines love and recognizes the true spirit of Christmas.
